Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard Shares Terrifying Details of Their Friend’s Murder

Earlier this year, Jill Duggar returned home from El Salvador with her husband Derick Dillard and their two-year-old son Israel after their friend was senselessly murdered.

And now, in a blog post written ahead of her due date for baby No. 2, Derick is opening up about that horrific incident.

Thinking about one of my sweet friends in Central America. This was the night before we left to come back and prepare for #babydilly2 Keep our friends in your prayers as they face hardships everyday and continue to press on in ministry.

“As you all know, our last couple weeks in Central America were pretty crazy ones. We have continued to stay in contact with our friends and trust that God will continue to sustain them as they persevere in the difficult areas [where] they live,” he writes.

He continues, “The family of our friend who was murdered was forced to move every night due to threats on their lives. Recently, they were finally able to rent a place in a different arae where they will be able to stay for the next couple months. The family of our other friend who passed away due to complications from dialysis and surgery are very grateful for all prayers and funds given to cover funeral expenses. This man has one son left (the other one was murdered a couple months ago), and we believe this younger son will be able to help support his mom now that our friend has passed.”

In the post, he goes on to explain that another friend of theirs is nearly blind after undergoing a brain surgery for a brain tumor, adding that the friend’s husband left her when the tumor returned.

That sure is a lot for anyone to go through.

Fortunately, the family-of-three is back home in Arkansas with her parents and many, many siblings as they prepare to become a family-of-four!
