If it’s not one thing, it’s another! Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard can’t seem to do anything these days without receiving backlash from fans. Most recently, it appearted that the former Counting On couple spared no expense for their friend’s wedding, and people are pissed.

On Jan. 27, transphobic Derick took to Instagram to share a photo with his leading lady — who rocked a pair of gold heels. Immediately, people began commenting on her not-so-modest attire and slammed the unemployed stars. “I’m sorry but if my husband ever bullied any child I don’t think I could stand by him,” one person commented. Another added, “My husband is an Officer and a Military Man. He works his ASS off for his family!!! Stop being beggars, and people won’t give a damn what type of shoes u [sic] wear.”

Back in November, the Counting On alum, 28, launched a GoFundMe page, asking for a total of $10,000. I am currently serving through a program at my home church, called the Cross Church School of Ministry!” he wrote at the time. “I am so excited about this incredible opportunity for further ministry development, and I would like to invite you to share in this excitement with me. I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe to raise the funding I need for various missions opportunities I will have throughout the year. I have a donations goal of $10,000. This will enable me to fulfill my specific calling to ministry this year, including trips for Gospel-advancement and humanitarian work in Northwest Arkansas, North America, and abroad.”

Since then, however, people have accused the reality TV exiles of using the money for other purposes — like medical care for their son and dinner dates. Still, some are standing by the disgraced pair.

“If you follow the Duggars, you understand that they go out to all different kinds of places where you can get inexpensive things. So get over it; maybe she even borrowed the shoes from a friend.” We may never know!
