According to reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Dr. Alison Peck, women with Jessica’s pre-pregnancy body type should gain approximately 25-35 pounds throughout the entire nine months — with the majority in the second and third trimesters. So, for the sake of her and the baby’s health, Jessica, 31, is making big changes, including hiring a chef. “She hired one to help her cut calories and make sure she’s eating the right foods,” explains another friend. After all, she doesn’t want anything else to put a damper on what should be a magical time.
