‘Teen Mom 2’ Stars Jeremy Calvert and Brooke Wehr Slam MTV, Claim Leah Messer Had Nothing to Do With Their Split
According to Teen Mom 2 star Jeremy Calvert and his ex-girlfriend Brooke Wehr, reality TV isn’t so real sometimes. The former couple recently lashed out at MTV for the way the network portrayed their breakup on the Monday, July 31, episode of the hit docuseries.
As viewers saw on Monday night, it appeared as though Jeremy, 28, and Brooke decided to pull the plug on their relationship after the dad-of-one had a 35-minute phone call with his ex-wife, Leah Messer, regarding their four-year-old daughter, Adalynn, and her plans for school. The scene was filmed back in February, when Jeremy and Brooke revealed via social media that they had called it quits.

In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, Aug. 2, Brooke confessed the true reason behind their split — and it had nothing to do with Leah, 25. “Leah’s name was never brought up,” Brooke said. “Him and I had never even had an argument that even involved her name.”

Brooke went on to say that the 35-minute phone call that ended her relationship with Jeremy was actually with another woman named Abby. “I did not just completely lose my s–t,” she continued. “He came home from work and started arguing with me. I had logged onto the AT&T to see where he had talked to Abby for 35 minutes behind my back. He also had her name under ‘Tim’ in his phone. I’m sure you guys remember this playing out in February on our social media, so that shouldn’t be a surprise. That did happen, but that wasn’t about Leah at all, and it definitely had nothing to do with Addie going to school at all. It was about him talking to Abby under ‘Tim’ and trying to hide it. It was just shady so of course I was upset about it.”
Jeremy also confirmed that Leah wasn’t the catalyst for his split from Brooke, admitting that Monday night’s episode was completely dramatized. “In the episode you saw Monday, Brooke came off as crazy, which she isn’t at all,” he told Real Mr. Housewife on Tuesday. “It was all my fault during that time. Also the reason we broke up wasn’t because of me and Leah talking for that long about Addie’s preschool stuff. It was over me talking to a different girl. Period. It had nothing to do with the way me and Leah co-parent for our child and communicate. Just would like to address the correct version of what happened. That all was talked about, but was edited out of the episode last night.”

The West Virginia native added, “I basically lied to make myself look better than what I truly did, which I shouldn’t have done but I did so now I’m trying to set the record straight. And also she never threw my s–t everywhere and didn’t lose her s–t like I stated in the episode.”
Teen Mom 2 airs on MTV Mondays at 9 p.m. EST.
