Jennifer Lawrence And
Miley Cyrus Both Tell
Barbara Walters Where
They Want to Be in 10
Answers Couldn’t Be
It’s no doubt that Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lawrence were two of the biggest stars of the year; so it wasn’t surprising when they’re names both popped up on Barbara Walters’ annual list of most fascinating people—even if they earned it for two very, very different reasons!

Miley achieved notoriety for many things this year, such as ending her engagement with Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, releasing a new album, breaking video records with “Wrecking Ball” and—of course—an unforgettable, twerk-filled VMA performance with Robin Thicke!
Jen, on the other hand, received a lot of buzz for playing the lead in The Hunger Games, winning an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook and just being herself—seriously, have you ever seen this girl do an interview?
Their differences, however, were never as clear as when Barbara asked Miley and Jen—who are 21 and 23, respectively—the same question: Where do you see yourself in 10 years? The question may have been the same, but their answers could not have been more different!
Barbara began by asking Miley’s mom, Tish, were she saw her daughter in 10 years.
“Gosh. Oh god,” Tish gushed. “I hope I have grandbabies, Barbara!”
The 21-year-old was quick to crush any dreams Tish may have had of grandkids—at least from Miley.
“I’m going to be 31,” she said. “31 I’m still going on tour.”
Later in the Most Fascinating People program, Jen shared a much different vision of the future when Barbara asked Jen the same question: “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”
“Not in LA,” she said. “In a house, on a big property. Maybe starting a family—everything is calm; I have a minivan.”
Considering they have had extremely different careers and, while both successful, very different years—it’s not surprising that Jen and Miley have such different plans for the future.
