There are few celebrity makeovers that hold a candle to Jennifer Hudson’s weight loss! In a previous interview, Jen opened up about how she managed to shed an impressive 80 pounds — without exercising!

“Well, I don’t really have time to do much [exercising],” she explained on a British talk show. “I just watch what I eat. I’m very careful and cautious of what I’m eating and I just try to place those meals throughout the day.”

Jen, 36, has transformed her body since we first met her back in the American Idol days! It’s been seven years since she first debuted her stunning weight loss — revealing that she went from a size 16 to a size 6!

Since then, she’s been sharing her diet tips and tricks with her fans, who have long admired her weight loss. And it would appear that a strategy focused more on what she puts in her body — rather than attempting to burn calories — is what works for Jen.

“I throw the pancakes across the room,” she revealed in October 2014, explaining how she avoids the temptation of unhealthy foods. “I don’t let the food intimidate me. If it’s too much, I just get rid of it, but I make sure to watch what I put in my body. And I make sure I know what it is. It’s all about portions for the most part. I don’t work out a lot, but I do like to be active.”

Since dropping nearly 100 pounds, Jen has said that she has hit her goal and is “at peace” with her body. “I’m at the weight I want to be,” the mom-of-one previously gushed. “But I hear all the time, ‘Don’t lose any more weight, you need to stop.’ People are under the impression that I’m still losing but I’m not.” You go girl!
