Jennifer Aniston is back in the producer’s seat. She and producing partner Kristin Hahn (The Departed) are forming their own film company, Echo, Variety reported Tuesday.
"We're drawn to stories about people finding their voice and finding their way because they help us... [make] sense of our lives through the stories of others," Aniston said in a statement. "That's why we chose the name Echo, to echo back an idea, a challenge, something that resonates through all of us."
Variety reports that the two have already lined up several projects, most of which will star Aniston and will be taken from books and real-life stories. The paper also says the company will have a first-look deal with Universal Pictures.
Some of the projects they’ll reportedly be producing include Getting Rid of Matthew, by British bestseller Jane Fallon — about a high-profile publicist who has an affair with a married man with kids, only to fall for the man's son — and The Divorce Party, by Laura Dave — about a married couple who announce they're splitting at their 35th wedding anniversary party.
