One by one, Cory Monteith's Glee co-stars have found their way of saying goodbye. Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina on the FOX series, posted this photo of the original New Directions members (including Cory, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Ushkowitz herself) to her Instagram yesterday with the following message:
"I am so grateful that Glee brought this group of extraordinary individuals together to form a family. I was lucky enough to closely experience the love and light that Cory shared with the world, as well as having the privilege of traveling down the road together on a once in a lifetime journey. Cory always reminded me to be gracious, kind and open, and he will leave a mark in my heart forever. Thank you everyone for your constant support and love while we mourn the loss of our dear friend, and continued support to Cory's family, and to Lea."
Ushkowitz is not the only Glee star to honor Cory publicly. Jane Lynch spoke lovingly of her former co-star during a recent interview with Jay Leno, and Matthew Morrison dedicated a song to Cory during a concert shortly after his death.
The 31-year-old actor died of a drug and alcohol overdose in Vancouver, British Columbia, just days before he was due to return to LA to film the fifth season of Glee.
The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, has announced that the show will be delayed slightly while storylines are rewritten and that Cory's character Finn will be killed off rather than recast.
