Court Documents Reveal Jenelle Evans’ Troubling Assault by Courtland Rogers

Since Jenelle Evans published her memoir, Read Between the Lines, the Teen Mom 2 star has been involved in a he said/she said war of the words with her ex-husband Courtland Rogers over allegations laid out in her debut tell-all. In her book, the mother-of-three claims that she miscarried a child she was expecting with her then-husband because he physically attacked her — an allegation he later refuted in an interview. But now, the truth is seemingly coming out thanks to court documents resurfaced by Radar Online.

In 2013, three different warrants were issued for Courtland’s arrest after he reportedly got physical with his then-pregnant wife. The first warrant states, “The defendant named above unlawfully and willfully did assault and strike Jenelle Rogers, a female person, by grabbing her by her hair and slamming her against the wall. The defendant named above unlawfully and willfully did commit a battery on a pregnant woman named Jenelle Rogers.”

Another warrant details an incident during which Courtland “smashed her head against the floor” in an attempt to get her car keys from her. However, neither of the police reports detail the incident that Jenelle described in her book. In her memoir, she explained, “Courtland slapped me around a few times, then started punching me in the gut,” which she claims caused her to miscarry. She added, “My mother rushed me to the emergency room, where they explained to me that I had suffered a miscarriage due to my recent altercation with Courtland.”

Despite the police reports stating otherwise, Courtland has insisted that he’s innocent and he’s never so much as laid a hand on his former wife. “I never in my life have hit her,” he said. “I never touched her. If we were ever fighting, I made sure she wouldn’t hit me. I never swung or hit her or anything. That is the God’s honest truth.”
