Holograms' Big Screen
Adaptation Gets Cast –
See the Stars in
The cast of the much anticipated, live-action adaption of beloved ‘80s cartoon Jem and the Holograms was revealed yesterday, April 24—and has been met with mixed reactions.
Aubrey Peeples, best known for her role on Nashville, will make her big screen debut as Jerrica and her pop-star alter ego in the movie.
Joining her in the band are Disney Channel star Stefanie Scott as Jem’s sister Kimber, Pretty Little Liars actress Aurora Perrineau as Shana and The Fosters star Hayley Kiyoko as Aja.
While some of the original series’ fans have been skeptical about the project—spearheaded by director Jon M. Chu with producers Jason Blum and Scooter Braun—we’re already convinced these ladies are right for the roles after seeing their adorable Instagram pictures.
Aubrey, 20, captioned the picture, “We love each other.” Aww!
Still—for the naysayers, we took our creative license, and imagined them in character. And after seeing these pics, you won’t have any doubts about their casting!
