“The Circus Goes to
Paris”: Jay Z Mocks
Kanye West and Kim
Their Backs Ahead of
Their Parisian Wedding
It’s not uncommon for the best man at a wedding to throw in a few jokes about the couple in a toast, but Jay Z may be taking it a little far—as he reportedly considers the affair to be one big joke!
According to a new report, the 44-year-old rapper has said the wedding is “being blown way out of proportion.”
“He likes Kanye and Kim, but totally talks smack about them behind their backs,” the insider dishes. “When he was asked about the wedding he just laughed and said, ‘The circus goes to Paris!’”
Leading up to the wedding, set to take place in the City of Lights this weekend, there were reports claiming Jay and his wife, Beyoncé, would be skipping the wedding as they refused to appear on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
However, Kim insists the ceremony won’t be filmed for the reality show, and the source confirms Jay eventually agreed to attend, even sending ‘Ye a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask and a $10,000 bottle of scotch when agreeing to be best man.
“Kanye was almost jumping up and down, he was so excited,” the source reveals.
“He was running around Kris [Jenner’s] house to find Kim saying, ‘Baby, look! Look! Jay and B are coming!”
While their friendship is clearly important to Kanye, the insider says it’s not exactly reciprocated. The “Holy Grail” rapper maintains the friendship with his Watch the Throne collaborator is more business than it is personal.
“Jay doesn’t mind Kanye, but Kim is a big knock on his reputation,” the source tells Radar. “She doesn’t exactly have street cred.”
