Is there a new woman in Javi Marroquin‘s life? Not so fast! The Teen Mom 2 star exclusively told In Touch that he is trying to reunite with his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Comeau — contrary to reports that he is trying to date his MTV co-star Briana DeJesus!

“Oh geez,” he told In Touch. “No more comments on my life. My lips are gonna be sealed. I’m trying to get Lauren back and then Briana came out haha but it’s fine.” The father-of-one — who also serves in the United States Air Force — is referring to Radar Online‘s report that the two are talking. “I would be open to dating Briana. She’s a really cool girl. Her whole family is awesome. She’s really beautiful. We text back and forth. We’ll see what happens,” he previously told the publication, though he exclusively insisted to In Touch that he is NOT trying to date Briana and is trying to get back with Lauren.

Javi has been romantically linked to a handful of women since he and Kailyn Lowry confirmed their split in May 2016, and finalized their divorce in December. He said of his relationship with Lauren, “I love Lauren, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. I’m learning not everyone wants the attention. Dating someone on a TV show is tough. I think Lauren had a hard time adjusting to that and I had a hard time understanding that.”

He then added, “I never believed in love at first sight, but when I saw Lauren I definitely did. I’m hoping Lauren and I can figure this out because she made me the happiest I’ve ever been.” We hope so too, pal! In the past, the reality star dated Cassie Bucka and Madison Walls. We can’t lie, though — he and Briana would make an adorable couple!
