Paul Walker is irreplaceable — so it has to be hard for any actor set to replace him in upcoming films.
James Marsden recently opened up about taking over the late star's role in The Best of Me, Nicholas Sparks’ latest romance flick hitting theaters this month.
While it was a difficult position to be in, Paul’s fans can rest assured the part is in good hands with James.
“All I can say about that is just he is one of those tremendous actors that was even that much more special of a human being,” the 41-year-old actor said when asked about the Paul.
“There was a wonderful energy about him and he was a terrific actor. You always want to be good stepping into a role like this but [it] felt a little bit more of an honor to play this role because of him.”

James isn’t the only one who's honoring Paul’s legacy by stepping in for roles he was unable to complete. Paul’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, finished his remaining stunts for Fast & Furious 7, while the youngest of the Walker clan (Cody) has signed on to play the younger brother of Paul’s character in future installments of the franchise.
James Marsden first spoke to Us Weekly about the role.
