James Gandolfini was certainly a generous and supportive father— and his final act of kindness proves it.
It was announced today that the late Sopranos star has left the majority of his estate, which is estimated to be worth $70 million, to his two children.
According to his will, the actor left the largest amount to his son Michael Gandolfini, 13, who will have a trust fund set aside until the teen turns 21. Michael will also receive all of his father’s clothes, jewelry, and share his estate in Italy with his 8-month-old half-sister Liliana, once she turns 25.
James left millions for his wife Deborah Lin and his two sisters, $500,000 for each of his nieces, $200,000 for his personal assistant and $100,000 for his godson.
The HBO star’s last will and testament was dated Dec. 19 and was officially filed on Tuesday, according to the New York Post.
The actor tragically passed away in Italy on June 19 from a heart attack. He was laid to last Thursday following funeral services at the Cathedral of Saint John the Devine in Manhattan.
"My husband was an honest, kind and loving man," Deborah said at the memorial service. "He cared more about others than himself. Thank you for the memories of the beautiful life we spent together... I love you Jim, and I always will. Rest in peace."
