Action superstar Jackie Chan’s 31-year-old son, Jaycee, has been arrested and detained in China after authorities found marijuana in his Beijing home.
Reports state if the younger Chan, also an actor, is found guilty, he could face up to three years in jail or, worst case scenario, execution.

Police say both Jaycee and 23-year-old Taiwanese actor Kai Ko tested positive for the drug and confessed to using it, adding that 100 grams of marijuana were found in Jaycee’s home.
The arrests come after the Chinese government announced an extreme crackdown to eradicate drugs in the country, with a plan to “severely punish” offenders—especially high-profile people.
Jaycee is accused of accommodating drug users, which is a far more serious offense than drug consumption (which his companion is accused of).
Interestingly enough, the elder Chan has been an anti-drug ambassador to China since 2009. In the past, Jackie had allegedly pledged to turn his son over to the police himself if he ever found his son with drugs.
