Is ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Amber Portwood Faking an Engagement For the Cameras?
In the trailer for Teen Mom OG, fans were shocked to see Amber Portwood’s boyfriend, Matthew Baier, ask for her hand in marriage.
A source close to the mom-of-one has since revealed she said yes — though the entire engagement is allegedly an act for the cameras!
“He proposed in November and she accepted,” the insider says. The couple met for the first time just a month earlier, though they first interacted on Twitter during the summer.
The insider alleges that the 43-year-old could not have been able to purchase a ring for Amber, 24.
“The proposal was all for show,” the source tells ‘Radar Online.’ “He doesn’t have that kind of money.”
And his inability to buy a ring is the least of their troubles. The two allegedly called it quits in January before getting back together a week later — which isn’t surprising considering their rocky romance.
“They have a very tumultuous relationship,” the insider says. “They get into big fights and Matt says he’s moving out. But then hours later, they act like everything is fine.”
