In the papers filed by Brit’s team, they are trying to keep the Pop Princess away from Sam — and they explain that Brit’s life was in “turmoil” when she met her former manager; at the time, she was going through a divorce, custody battle and estrangement from her parents.
“In addition, she was struggling with drug abuse,” the papers state, per TMZ.
While the judges say Sam urged the mom-of-two to get clean, her family is arguing that he’s the one who provided her with the drugs.
