It’s not always easy juggling business and pleasure—but Shakira seems to have it down to a science.
"It's part of motherhood you know," The Voice coach, 36, says of managing her many roles. "You got to figure it out as you go."
To help make life — and parenthood— a little bit easier, Shakira has turned her double-wide trailer on the set of the competition show into a full-blown nursery for her 5-month-old baby boy, Milan, whom she welcomed with boyfriend Gerard Piqué on January 22.
"It's just like Shakira's door opens and 'It's a Small World' starts playing,” show host Carson Daly said of the Colombian’s makeshift nursery. “It's built for Milan. And it's really special and it's cool. We're like a little family."
But their “little family” isn’t so little!
The host goes on to admit that Milan is the newest addition to the kid-friendly set, where his own children, Usher’s brood and Adam Levine’s nephews frequently visit.
But Shakira insists it’s not the children who are causing trouble on set!
"It's like a kindergarten because these guys are already babies. They're babies!" she joked on Wednesday night at House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif. about her fellow coaches, Blake Shelton, Usher and Adam Levine.
And while he “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is quick to mess with her co-stars, there’s one thing she's taking very seriously— getting her pre-baby body back.
"I still have a long way to go. I still have a few pounds over to lose," she said. "I look decent."
If only we looked “decent” every day, we’d be thrilled.
