Sex and the City 2 hits theaters at the end of May, and as In Touch can reveal, the sequel boasts numerous juicy secrets that took place behind the scenes. From rumors of backstage feuding to fears that one big star wouldn't return, the filming of Sex and the City 2 turned out to be nearly as dramatic - and full of surprises - as the movie itself. According to another insider, one of the most difficult tasks was getting John Corbett to come back and reprise his role as Carrie's old flame Aidan - a major plot element, which finds Carrie contemplating cheating on Mr. Big. "John was on the fence for a long time," says the insider. "He didn't think it made sense for his character to come back." A "true actor" who was also difficult to get a hold of because he had no e-mail address, John "didn't really care if he was in the movie. He had to be convinced." Eventually, Sarah Jessica and the other producers were able to talk him into it. But the insider reveals, "The Carrie/ Aidan reunion almost didn't happen."
