This is heartbreaking. Former Bachelor alum Vienna Girardi recently announced on Facebook that she lost her twin girls — just two months after she broke the news.

In the lengthy post, the Season 14 star began, "This is the hardest thing I have ever had to write." She continued, "On Aug. 3, I went in for an ultrasound bc the perinatologist noticed one of my twins had more fluids than the other, which was the first sign of TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome) — this is when one twin takes more nutrients than the other. They said that it did look like it had improved over the last week though."

Unfortunately, her water broke early and doctors warned her that if she didn't go into labor and deliver the babies, she would be risking her own life and a possible infection in her uterus. She revealed that her "little angels" passed away on Aug. 5 and she was rushed to the OR for emergency surgery. "I did everything to save them," she wrote.

In June, Vienna announced on Instagram that she was pregnant with the twins. She posted a sonogram depicting "TWIN A" and "TWIN B" and decided to let the photo speak for itself without a caption. Most recently, she posted a photo of herself baking for her gender reveal.

The reality star is best known for her relationship with Bachelor, Jake Pavelka. The 39-year-old proposed to Vienna, 31, but called off their engagement just three months after the finale aired. Shortly after the breakup, she started dating Bachelor Pad 2 alum Kasey Kahl. The ABC star was also formerly engaged to NASCAR racer Todd Allen in August 2016, although it was unclear who the father was.

In 2013, Radar Online caught up with the former reality star. Vienna said at the time, “Truthfully, I don’t watch reality TV because I understand now that reality TV isn’t reality,” she admitted. “Reality TV stars have a very short television life, so make sure you have a backup and know when to step away from the spotlight and have a normal life.”

Vienna is now thanking her followers for their support and asking for them to "respect my privacy and allow me to grieve," She hopes her daughters’ story may help "be able to save another women who has twins with TTTS." She concluded, "Your mommy will never forget you and I loved you both with my entire heart."
