Uhh, so what’s the deal with Mariah Carey lately? Just days after her Las Vegas residency ended, the singer left to perform alongside Lionel Richie on their All The Hits tour, but it seems like she’s kind of… burned out. Maybe she’s tired from performing too many shows in a row? Maybe she needs a break to rest and recuperate? Or maybe she’s just adopted a certain Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ star’s single as her theme song.

Real talk, though, it really does seem like Mariah Carey gives absolutely no f-cks these days. What gives? Back in the day, she was one of the greatest performers around. Billboard called her 1991 “Can’t Let Go” performance “one of the most magnetic performances of her career” and noted that her performance with Boyz II Men at the 1996 Grammys gave them goosebumps.

But these days, the main thing Mariah’s giving fans is cause for concern. After seeing her show, one fan even tweeted, “I am now a concerned citizen. It’s not funny anymore!” when Mariah decided that singing at her concert was apparently optional.

Two weeks ago, Mariah also took flack for doing the absolute bare minimum while dancing on stage. And who could forget that disastrous New Year’s Eve performance?

“This was out of my control,” she explained to Rolling Stone in February. “Had everything not been such a total chaotic mess, then I would have been able to make something happen. Even the dancers should have stopped dancing and helped me off the f-cking stage. I’m sorry. It was a mess, and I blame everybody, and I blame myself for not leaving after rehearsal.”

It might’ve been an accident, but at this point, it seems like it’s becoming a trend. So what gives? Has Mariah just decided that she’s enough of a pop legend and we should be grateful for whatever we get?

Seems like fans better just suck it up and take it. After all, we all know what Mariah Carey thinks of people that she deems not on her level. And nobody is on her level.

While we’re kind of inspired by her no-f-cks-given attitude (seriously, isn’t the dream to be so irreplaceable at your job that you can just… do whatever you want?), it’s really unfortunate. Mariah Carey is a pop princess, but concert tickets are expensive — is it really worth the purchase when you risk a performance that’s more lackluster than legendary? Should we be honored to be allowed in Mariah’s presence at all?

Three disappointing performances in a year doesn’t seem like that big a deal — but two in two weeks is pretty wild. She could come through and promise to step her game back up… but more than likely the haters aren’t even on her radar. After all, we all know what happens when someone says something Mariah doesn’t like.
