When The Voice’s Michelle Chamuel started practicing her rendition of “I Knew You Were Trouble” on Monday night’s show…Taylor Swift walked in.

Much to Michelle’s surprise, her coach, Usher, recruited the help of the song’s original crooner.

“She is awesome and very inspiring!” Michelle said of meeting the 23-year-old. “And a very kind person!”

So what kind of feedback did Taylor give Michelle?

Usher Reveals His Strategy For Winning The Voice

“She was very supportive and an ear to listen,” she tells In Touch. “For someone who I'm sure is really overwhelmed by a lot of media, she just seemed really open and present and I appreciated that a lot.”

Though they only spent a short period of time together, it was still a treat for the indie/pop aritst, who is a self-admitted Swift fan— though she never told that to Usher!

“We hadn't talked about it,” she says. “I'm a big fan of Taylor Swift. I think she is incredible and I've been following her songs for a long time. She's a really cool artist.”
