Rebhorn Dies from Skin
Cancer at Age 65
Actor James Rebhorn died at his home in New Jersey on Friday night at the age of 65.
TMZ reported Rebhorn's death was caused from his long battle with skin cancer, which started in 1992 after he was diagnosed with melanoma.
His latest role was in Homeland, playing the character Frank Mathison — the father of intelligence officer Carrie, played by Claire Danes.
Throughout his acting career, which started in the 1950s, he starred in notable films including Meet the Parents, Independence Day, Scent of a Woman and The Game.
He also appeared in hit TV shows including White Collar, Enlightened, 30 Rock and The Good Wife.
Most people remember him as the lawyer who put Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine behind bars in the Seinfeld series finale.
