Heidi Klum's tropical vacation took a terrifying turn yesterday when a leisurely beach day became a frightening rescue mission.
The German model, 39, daringly rescued her son Henry, 7, and the family nanny from a ruthless riptide while vacationing in Hawaii on March 31.
Heidi, her boyfriend Martin Kirsten, her kids and two nannies were relaxing on Oahu's North Shore when a strong riptide pulled Henry and the two nannies into the water. Everyone sprang to action, and while her father retrieved one nanny, Heidi grabbed her son and the second nanny and dragged them through the dangerous current back to the shore.
“Heidi went first for Henry, pulled him out aggressively and put him on the beach,” the eyewitness says. Heidi then ran back to rescue the other nanny. “Heidi is literally using all of her strength to lift this woman and pull her through the water,” the eyewitness continues.
The Project Runway host finally got everybody to safety before they caught their breath and headed inside.
