Heath Ledger's mourning family, most of whom are based in Perth, Australia, will be arriving today in New York City for his funeral. Details on where and when the service will be held are being kept private. "The family doesn't want us to give out any information," George Amado, general manager of the Frank E. Campbell funeral home, told the AP.
In the death notices section of today's West Australian, Heath's mother, father and sister wrote of their grief at Heath's passing. "I feel both my heart and life have been torn apart," wrote his older sister Kate. "I will continue to talk with you everyday and love you just as if you were here." His father Kim writes: "My beautiful boy, so loving, so talented, so caring, so young... My body aches for the sound of your voice, our chats, our laughs and our life and times together. We were one, in soul and commitment. Just... Father and Son. I will love you forever, Dad." A note by the entire family ended with: "Your true legacy lives on in beautiful little Matilda, who will always remain in the greatest of care. Our hearts are broken."
