The Glee season five trailer is here!
However, the usually-upbeat FOX musical series' commercial has a bittersweet taste to it this year. Cory Monteith, one of the show's breakout stars, died of an accidental drug and alcohol overdose in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia, several weeks ago. His sudden death sent the show scrambling to rewrite their storylines for season five, in which Cory's character Finn played a major role.

Cory's on-and-off-screen girlfriend, Lea Michele, is featured heavily in the commercial. When the last season left off, her character Rachel was auditioning for her dream role on Broadway. In her first major public appearance since his death, Lea thanked fans at the Teen Choice Awards. "For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we’re going to get through this together," she said while accepting her award for Choice TV Actress: Comedy.
Glee's season premiere will air on September 26. According to creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy, there will be two previously-planned episodes full of Beatles songs, then a special episode dealing with Cory's character's death. After that, the show will take a three week break to "reset." Cast members are also filming PSAs about drug addiction that will air after the show.
