For six years, Frankii Wilde was the victim of daily physical and emotional abuse. She was bullied by her unrelenting peers for being "fat and ugly." Once, she was even threatened with a knife.
But now, the 27-year-old is getting the ultimate payback — by working as one of England's top pin-up models.
"The bullies made me feel so awful about myself and I felt I couldn't achieve anything. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would become a model," she said in a report.
At age 17, Frankii was scouted by a modeling agency and in college, she began experimenting with the 1940s and 50s style after receiving compliments on her looks. She gained even more positive attention when she started uploading self-portraits to her MySpace page.
The Newcastle, England native's modeling career has flourished during the last 10 years due to her uniquely stunning looks. She also runs her own photography business called 'Frankii & Gerry's Retro Photo & Film Studio' to "help ladies find their inner pin up," she explained.
"In a way, what I suffered through school has given me the motivation and strength to do what I do now. I hope I've proved people wrong," she told the Daily Mail.
