Fiona Apple Released
from West Texas Jail
After Posting Bail
Singer-songwriter Fiona Apple, 35, was arrested Wednesday in Texas after authorities found drugs on her tour bus during a border stop search.
Ironically, the “Criminal” singer was brought into custody and charged with drug possession in Sierra Blanca— the same town where Armie Hammer, Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and other famous stars have also been busted for pot.
We’re starting to see a trend in Sierra Blanca.
How long Fiona will remain in the Hudspeth County Jail is still unknown, but she’s expected to continue her Idler Wheel tour performances in Austin tonight and in Houston on Friday.
*UPDATE: Fiona was released on Thursday from the Hudspeth County jail after posting $10,000 bond on Wednesday night, according to a statement by Rusty Fleming, a Hudspeth County sheriff office spokesman.
According to the report, Fiona "had a little tiny amount of pot and hash," on her, which she freely admitted was hers.
What's next for the singer is unknown, but what we do know is that the show must go on. Fiona continues to tour as planned.
