Now this is a Teen Mom dream come true! Farrah Abraham — who recently parted from the MTV reality series that made her famous — has already moved on in her career in an epic way. Her best-selling novel, My Teenage Dream Ended which discusses the tragic death of her daughter’s father, Derek Underwood — will be developed into a movie.

Farrah first shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers in a story update on Wednesday, stating she would like actors and actresses to submit headshots, their locations, IMDB links, and social media bios for casting consideration. “I’m currently doing private castings and getting ready to make a memorable feature film,” the adult entertainer exclusively told In Touch. “I look forward to have many fans who supported me through Teen Mom be part of the film.”

For those who have yet to indulge in Farrah’s must-read, the novel describes the tragedy where she lost her high school boyfriend, Derek, in a car accident while she was pregnant with her now nine-year-old daughter, Sophia, in December 2008. According to a KCCI report from the time, he and pal Zachary Mendoza were killed in Council Bluffs, IA, after their car skidded and hit a pole.

“I got off the phone and I tried to calm down, but my mind was racing. Derek was the father of the baby I was carrying inside me,” she recalled in her book. “We hadn’t spoken in more than two months, but crazily I had still hoped we had a future together — me, him, and our baby, as one happy family. It’s every teenage girl’s dream, isn’t it?”

Over the years, fans watched Farrah keep Derek’s memory alive by sharing photos on social media and taking Soph to her father’s grave. Back in 2016, our hearts shattered during an episode of Teen Mom OG when Sophia told her mom she “wanted to die” to see her dad.

“When you say you want to die to see him, it really makes mommy sad,” Farrah cried. “Do you know that it hurts mommy when you say those things because I care about you, and I love you?”

We’re so excited to watch her emotional story play out on the big screen. Love Teen Mom? Be sure to join our Teen Mom Facebook group to chat about all the latest updates and juicy gossip!
