Richardson's death

After suffering a head injury from a fall on a Canadian ski slope, Natasha Richardson has died. Her family released a statement through her publicist Alan Nierob: "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

The 45-year-old actress fell during a lesson on one of Mont Tremblant's beginner slopes, but shockingly felt fine immediately following the slip. "She was laughing and joking and she walked to her room on her own," resort spokesperson Catherine Lacasse says. The spokesperson also insists that Natasha did not hit anything before coming to a stop, and showed no sign of injury.

Natasha and Liam, married 15 years, have two sons, Micheal, 13, and Daniel, 12.
