Charlie Sheen has been talking of writing a tell-all memoir - and now an author with star-studded credits has volunteered for the gig!
"Even before this scandal, I've been telling my editors at HarperCollins, the two people I most want to do a book with are Jack Nicholson and Charlie Sheen," says Neil Strauss, whose new interview collection, Everyone Loves You When You're Dead, is out March 15. "I find the dark side more interesting, because we all have it in us - some of us go with it, and some go against it."
Neil's immediate advice for Charlie? Be quiet.
"In the last couple of weeks, I feel like he blew it," he tells In Touch exclusively. "People were on his side despite all of this stuff, but when he started doing all of these interviews, he should've just kept his mouth shut."
But despite Charlie's verbal diarrhea, his story is ultimately still worth telling, says Neil, author of pick-up artist chronicle The Game and co-author of the best-selling memoirs of Marilyn Manson, Mötley Crüe and - how fitting! - porn star Jenna Jameson.
"One thing you get from knowing these artists, is that what's public is often nothing like the truth - and the truth is always a lot better."
