With two failed TV engagements under her belt, no one can blame Bachelorette Emily Maynard for wanting to shy away from anything wedding-related. But it seems that even the mere mention of a betrothal provokes a physical reaction in the reality star.“Even the word ‘engagement’ makes my skin crawl,” Emily told In Touch exclusively at a preview event for her new jewelry line, Emily By Towne & Reese. “It gives me anxiety now.”
EXCLUSIVE: Jef Holm Hits on Girls After Split from Emily MaynardThe single mom, 27, who attempted to find love on both ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, has recently designed her first jewelry line in collaboration with the Charlotte based company. But the North Carolina native claims that she would never want to design her own engagement ring.“I mean that’s something really special," she shares. "I think that the man should be in charge of that.”Emily was engaged to the father of her daughter Ricki, 8, when he was tragically killed in a plane crash while she was still pregnant. She then got engaged to Brad Womack on The Bachelor's season 15 finale, but when their relationship didn’t work out, Emily signed on to be the next Bachelorette — resulting in her engagement to Jef Holm last year. That ended in October.
NEWS: Jef Holm and Emily Maynard Confirm SplitDespite her history, Emily truly is content with staying single in the foreseeable future.“I really am so happy with where my life is right now. Everything in my life isn’t revolving around finding a boyfriend," the beauty tells In Touch. "It’s just really everything that I love you — jewelry, girly stuff, blogging, just everything. Focusing on myself, and making myself happy.”Emily by Towne & Reese launches in July and will be available on EmilyMaynard.com.
