According to several reports, the two allegedly had an argument while vacationing in Mexico before she went shopping and never came back.

"I'm very hopeful someone will find my wife very soon," Bruce told ‘KCAL-TV’ at the time. "She still hasn't been located and we're looking."
The two were allegedly having marital problems, which included the producer's infidelity. Bruce and Monica have two children together, Camille and Alec.
Monica's sisters were also quick to place blame on her husband.

"I told her, 'Monica, don't worry. You know, come back here, just move on with your life,'" Monica’s sister Jeanne Burgos told '48 Hours Mystery' in 2012. "You're just going to build up your life again and you're going to be happy again."
Bruce's lawyers plan to appeal the conviction.
