Survivor: Africa winner Ethan Zohn’s cancer has returned but he remains optimistic, yet again. Back in April, Ethan was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkin’s disease, which he fought through like a true survivor. After months of intense chemotherapy, he was feeling like himself again, off chemo and preparing for his next challenge – the New York City Marathon. Things recently came to a halt after receiving his post-chemo test results. “ My cancer is back,” says Ethan. “I have never been so scared in my life, for my life.” Although he describes it as a “complete punch in the face” he hopes to find strength and think positively. “Whatever things are thrown at you, you've got to battle through with a smile on your face," he says.
