Actor Emile Hirsch is trying to make amends for his violent and aggressive behavior. 'The Girl Next Door' star has checked into rehab after assaulting Paramount exec Daniele Bernfeld at a Sundance party on Jan. 25.
His spokesperson, Robert Offer, told 'TMZ,' “A few days after the incident, Emile sought help and checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation facility, where he remains today, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
"Emile consumed an enormous amount of alcohol on the evening in question and he has no memory of what happened. Emile takes these allegations very seriously, and is devastated that any of this has occurred.”
Though he's trying to move in the right direction, he's still facing major legal woes.

The father-of-one has been officially charged with third degree felony aggravated assault. If convicted, he could land behind bars for up to five years. He was also slapped with a misdemeanor intoxication violation.
As 'In Touch' reported, Emile was kickin’ it back at Tao Nightclub on that fateful January night, when he allegedly became belligerently drunk and started harassing Bernfeld. Though Bernfeld avoided confrontation by moving to a different table, he reportedly followed and “put her in a chokehold” before he “pulled her across the table and onto the floor.”
Bernfeld stated that she felt like “the front and back of her throat were touching.”
'TMZ' released the statement from Emile's spokesperson.
