Although Counting On is mostly full of courtships, weddings, and baby news, the Duggars are also all about interior design and love a home makeover. If you watch the show, you'll notice that the older kids are always working on "projects" from redecorating the guesthouse for Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard to helping Jinger Duggar remodel her outdated kitchen. In fact, the person who spearheads most of these home improvement projects, Jana Duggar, is known for having a design eye and is often called "the next Joanna Gaines" by her family. Back on 19 Kids and Counting, the older daughters decided to give their outdated room (that all the sisters share) a much-needed makeover.

The sisters repainted the whole room, purchased new bedsheets, and even added a modern black and white striped column to separate the space.

When Jessa and Ben Seewald first purchased this small starter home, it was a little outdated. While on their honeymoon, Jessa's family decided to surprise the newlyweds with a complete remodel.

The Duggars ripped out the carpet, resurfaced the fireplace, and painted the walls to modernize the living room.

In addition to the massive main house, the Duggars also own a smaller guesthouse slightly outside their property. When Jill and Derick returned from their missionary trip in Central America, they decided to stay in the guesthouse temporarily. To surprise them, Jana helped remodel the entire house.
