More than 30 years after committing a crime, Oscar-winner Roman Polanski was arrested upon arriving in Switzerland on September 26. The Rosemary’s Baby director, who pleaded guilty in 1977 to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in California, was expected at the Zurich Film Festival to receive a
lifetime achievement award, but was promptly detained. Roman had fled the U.S. before his 1978 sentencing and hadn't returned in the three decades since the incident. The infamous case was the subject of last year's documentary, Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired.
