Jason Aldean and Wife Brittany’s Relationship Timeline: From Cheating Scandal to Happy Family

First comes love, then comes marriage. Jason Aldean’s relationship with wife Brittany Aldean (née Kerr) may have gotten off to a rocky start, but the pair continue to prove that love conquers all. 

“Can’t believe we were in this moment 7 years ago,” Brittany captioned a wedding throwback photo in March 2022. “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my best friend. Thank you for being the best daddy and husband a girl could ask for. I love you so so much,” she added with the hashtag, “blessed.”

The “Dirt Road Anthem” artist and his bride first sparked dating rumors in September 2012 after they were spotted canoodling at a bar in Los Angeles while he was still married to first wife Jessica Ussery.

Jason issued a public apology for his poor judgment via Facebook at the time, saying, “The truth is that I screwed up.”

“I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” the “Fly Over States” crooner continued. “I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.”

Though the couple were initially able to move past his infidelity, less than one year later, the Georgia native filed for divorce from his wife of more than a decade. Jason shares daughters Keeley and Kendyl with his ex-wife and high school sweetheart.

“This is a really tough time for my entire family,” the “You Make It Easy” singer told Us Weekly in April 2013. “Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. Jason went on to reunite with his former flame, and he and Brittany made their red carpet debut at the 2014 CMT Awards that June. Just three months later, the couple were hit with backlash as they announced their engagement. 

“It has been two years of this s–t,” he said in an interview with Billboard of their cheating scandal shortly after his September 2014 engagement. “Get over it, already!”
