NBA star Derrick Rose was sued on Wednesday for allegedly drugging and gang raping his unidentified girlfriend with two of his friends. She claims the incident took place two years ago, but waited to come forward.
A rep for the 26-year-old’s legal team told TMZ that this is "an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete."

Derrick, who plays for the Chicago Bulls, allegedly dated the woman — who calls herself Jane Doe in the court documents — from 2011 to 2013. She claims the incident took place in his Beverly Hills home, where they slipped a drug in her drink and later that night broke into her apartment and gang raped her.

She allegedly escaped the party with another one of her friends before the incident. TMZ reported yesterday she was “ashamed and embarrassed” about what happened and was concerned about her family’s reaction, which is why she waited to come forward.
