Boy, bye! After repeatedly bashing Jazz Jennings and attacking the LGBTQ community via Twitter, former Counting On star Derick Dillard has extended an invitation to the 17-year-old I Am Jazz star to chat over coffee. And, like, is this dude serious?

The invite came after Jazz shared a video of Emma Gonzalez — one of the survivors of the fatal Feb. 14 shooting at Parkland, Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — speaking out about gun control. The teen trans advocate, a native of South Florida, wrote: “This is so powerful. I’m so proud of my community. @Emma4Change #MSDStrong” To see how Derick responded — and asked Jazz to join him for coffee — watch the video above.

Obvi, Jazz has not responded to Derick, 28, who was fired from Counting On for spreading his transphobic views on social media last year. In November, TLC released a statement letting fans know that it has has chosen to part ways with Jill Duggar’s husband.

“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future,” the statement read. “We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”

The network’s statement came months after Derick attacked Jazz in a string of hateful tweets last August. “What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality,” he wrote at the time. “‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”

Derick went on to misgender Jazz in a subsequent tweet, and expressed “pity” for her. He also suggested that she was being taken advantage of by her parents and TLC in order to “promote their agenda.” After Derick’s comments stirred up controversy, Jazz took to Twitter to address them in an eloquent statement: “In the face of constant ignorance and hatred I prefer to disregard negative opinions and continue moving forward with love.”
