Bye bye, David Eason! Jenelle Evans‘ husband crossed the line when he made some gross homophobic and transphobic comments on Feb. 19, and now MTV has decided to cut ties with the reality star. “David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV,” tweeted MTV on Feb. 20. “With six weeks left of production on Teen Mom 2, effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.”

Fans have been petitioning to fire David, and they are thrilled to see the controversial character finally get axed. However, they’re curious what’s going to happen to Jenelle, and they’re demanding she go with him. “Jenelle literally “LIKED” his homophobic tweets!!!!!!! #notenough,” screamed one angry fan. Another agreed, writing, “NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Fire his racist and homophobic wife, too!!”

Jenelle seemed to know that this backlash was coming, because she deleted her Twitter account just hours before news broke of David’s firing. So far, neither of them have commented on the situation.

This whole situation played out almost identically to Counting On star Derick Dillard‘s firing. He had been tweeting about TLC star Jazz Jenning being trangender when the network decided to cut ties. For his part, David fired off his mouth at a fan talking about gun control in schools, saying, “why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals. Oh, I forgot, that’s supposed to be normal.” He went on to say that he’s going to teach his kids “not to associate with them or be that way… if you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas.” Bravo MTV for doing the right thing and letting him go!
