More tragedy plagues the New York Giants — as a new report claims tight end Daniel Fells is battling a staph infection and will possibly lose his foot.
The NFL reported on Sunday that the 32-year-old was moved to the ICU on Friday and has already undergone five surgeries. He is allegedly battling Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and missed Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Daniel first entered the hospital on October 2, allegedly fighting a 104º temperature following toe and ankle injuries. He remains on Injured Reserve at this time.
"This is a serious situation that has been taken seriously from the beginning. We're all fighting for Daniel,” team spokesman Pat Hanlon said in a statement.
Head Coach Tom Coughlin also paid tribute during the postgame press conference.

"We dedicated the game to Daniel Fells and his family and thank God we were able to give him that game ball," he said after the team’s 30-27 victory.
We wish Daniel the best at this time.
