At this point, one has to wonder why anyone's trying to appeal Jamie Spears' conservatorship of his daughter Britney Spears' life. A California Court of Appeal judge threw out a plea by attorney Jon Eardley on Britney's behalf to challenge the co-conservatorship. Eardley had previously filed a civil-rights challenge on February 14, which was ultimately denied a hearing and then filed the appeal on March 11, which was dismissed based on the court's having no jurisdiction to grant an appeal, according to the Associated Press. Jamie has control of Britney's estate until July 31 and seems to be doing a good job, if Brit's recent appearance on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother and her much calmer lifestyle are any indication.
