How does 18-year-old Courtney Stodden stay so fit? The teen bride and Couples Therapy star wore a lettuce bikini yesterday while espousing the vegetarian lifestyle she says helps keep her in shape. She rocked the leafy look (and her trademark sky-high heels, of course) at an event for the group PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, for whom she's a spokesperson.
Courtney and her husband, 53-year-old Lost actor Doug Hutchinson, handed out veggie dogs to passers-by in LA. "I love being in the green on such a beautiful day!" she announced to the crowd.
Had so much fun at @peta's Veggie Dog Giveaway event today. Honored to be apart of the fam & to spread awareness. #LettuceLady @pinkshotdogs— Courtney Stodden (@CourtneyStodden) July 31, 2013

"Lettuce Ladies" are a PETA tradition. Previous wearers of lettuce bikinis include Pamela Anderson and former Saved By the Bell actress Elizabeth Berkley.
The animal-rights group has also attracted celebs to their "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" photo campaign. Bethenny Frankel, Holly Madison, and Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff have all posed nude for the series.
