Here Are All the Times the Duggars Shared Photos That Seriously Got Under People’s Skin

Ever since the Duggars assaulted our TV screens with 19 Kids and Counting and now their spin-off show Counting On, the massive family has been rife with controversy, ranging from the serious (Josh Duggar molesting his sisters) to the innocuous (Jinger Duggar wearing pants). And since the family loves sharing every second of their lives on social media, they continue to rub people the wrong way with their controversial photos.

Because the Duggars are vocal supporters of their second amendment rights and are pro-gun ownership, they have a lot of pictures on both their Facebook and blog of their children, sometimes even the very young ones, using and engaging with firearms. Although fans have criticized them, the massive Christian family have proven that they clearly don’t care and are arming themselves for some other purpose.

The Duggars love guns so much, Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard even included two firearms on their wedding registry — a 12-gauge shotgun and a Smith & Wesson rifle, to be exact. They also gave their son Jedidiah Duggar a shotgun for Christmas when he was 16 years old. So what’s with the family’s obsession with rifles? Here’s what Jim Bob Duggar had to say about it.

“We believe it is important for children to learn safety about guns and knives,” he told Radar in 2011. “To learn how to use them properly and to learn not to use them to hurt others but to use them as a tool.”

Michelle Duggar has said they use rifles to hunt for squirrels in their neighborhood. Hey, it is Arkansas after all.

“Squirrel meat is really good,” Michelle said. “You need a lot of squirrels to feed our family.” Check out the gallery below to see more of the Duggars’ most controversial photos.
