Randy Jackson has left the building!

American Idol’s only remaining original judge has decided to pack his bags and leave the show after over a decade on the competition show.

"Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season," he tells E! "I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It's been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures."

His exit comes on the heels of reports that FOX is planning to replace the entire panel of current judges, including Randy and newcomers Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

But Randy’s not the first judge to leave the hit series. Before him, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler all graced the judges panel.

Will you miss Randy as a judge or do you think it was time for him to move on?
