This means war. Flip or Flop stars Christina and Tarek El Moussa are going head-to-head. The divorced HGTV co-hosts have signed with competing real estate firms in Newport Beach, CA — Tarek with HOM Sotheby’s International Realty and Christina with First Team/Christie’s International Real Estate.

“Newport Beach is one of the most competitive microclimates in the real estate industry on the coast of California, without a doubt,” The McMonigle Team’s Drew D’Angelo, one of the stars of Bravo’s Real Estate Wars, says. “There’s bad blood among competing brokers all the time.”

Sotheby’s and Christie’s are “two of the top internationally” among real estate companies, Drew, adds, and Christina, 34, and Tarek, 36, could bust the daggers out. “I think,” Drew predicts, “there’s going to be a lot of undercutting.”

Of course, this type of behavior isn’t ideal since the exes still work together. “Working with Tarek comes easy for both of us,” Christina told In Touch in 2017. “We have worked together for 12 years and we will continue to work and co-parent together. We have a lot of fun (both on and off camera) flipping houses.” So, what changed? Their divorce finalized in January 2018, and according to Tarek they’re managing working together well. “We’ve been working together for a really long time,” he told People. “It’s our job. Obviously, we know each other really well.”

Christina and Tarek cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split and have joint legal and physical custody of their children Taylor, 7, and Brayden, 2. If they’re truly committed to working together — we’re sure they’ll be able to work this out.
