What do you get when you mix Christina Aguilera, Jimmy Fallon, The Roots and a room full of office supplies? Pure musical genius.
Before the Voice coach appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, the pop star, talk show host and his resident band, The Roots, got together for an epic collaboration that's making workers all across America reconsider just how much they enjoy their day jobs.
The group used nothing but office supplies to provide the background music for Christina’s new song, "Your Body," which she sang perfectly amongst the eclectic mix of odd instruments.
With Xtina on vocals and a stapler (yes, you read that correctly), Jimmy provided the beat with an iPhone keypad, while Questlove jammed on coffee pots, Captain Kirk played a tissue box and elastic band guitar and others rocked out with paper clip shakers, scotch tape and other odds and ends.
The song, which talks about a one night stand with a random guy, will be featured on Christina's upcoming album Lotus, which hits stores next week.
"Don't even tell me your name/ All I need to know is whose place/ And let's get walking," Christina coos in the bridge. "All I wanna do is love your body/ Tonight’s your lucky night, I know you want it."
It sounds pretty scandalous to us!
