Just one day after Chrissy Teigen revealed she chose to have a baby girl during her IVF process, the Sports Illustrated model took to Twitter to fight back against fans who criticized her decision.
“From reading everything tonight, I think I made a mistake in thinking people understood the process better than they do, which is my fault [sic],” the 30-year-old tweeted after receiving backlash on the social media site.

The mom-to-be continued, “We didn’t ‘throw away’ anything, and still would love to have more of both [girls and boys] in the future. You’d be surprised at how many people you know go through this — also every doctor knows the sex of the embryos. It isn’t some grand secret.”

As In Touch previously reported, Chrissy revealed, “I’ve made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.'”
The model and husband John Legend are expecting a little girl this spring.
