Last night was the second episode of The Bachelor’s nineteenth season, and you know what that means — Chris Soules finally got to take some of the ladies on some dates!
And, well, while his farm-boy upbringing is part of what we love about the super-sweet and totally handsome 34-year-old, it left us disappointed after seeing what he had planned for his first group and one-on-one dates.
In case you missed it, he first treated four of the ladies to a pool party, followed by a bikini-clad tractor race before taking Megan on a one-on-one trip to the Grand Canyon.

Okay, we get it. He’s a country boy! He likes tractors and bikinis! And while the idea of a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon seems a little cliché, it’s still beautiful. Besides, both of those are amazing compared to his second group date — which was an epic fight against zombies.

While we’re tempted to say it was the strangest date we’ve ever seen on The Bachelor franchise, it’s probably not true — as the show is known for some pretty wacky date ideas…
On the third episode of season 16, Ben Flajnik had the ladies skiing — in bikinis — on a closed-off road in San Francisco.
While we admire the effort of all ‘The Bachelors’ to make every sport a sport in which you wear a bikini, we can’t help but wonder: If he wanted to go skiing and see the ladies in bikinis… Why not go water-skiing?
